4G Smart Safety Watch

W300G · 4G Cat.1 direct, no gateway · heart rate / SpO₂ / body temperature · SOS & fall alerts · built-in speaker for spoken messages

The W300G is an industrial 4G Cat.1 safety watch that sends heart rate, SpO₂, body temperature, SOS, fall and location data over the mobile network straight to the New Forward SSSS smart site-safety platform — with no receiver gateway to install on site. A built-in speaker and vibration bring alerts and supervisor messages right to the worker's wrist; suited to construction sites, heat-stress work and lone working.

Overview

4G Smart Safety Watch

Challenges

  • Bluetooth band systems need receiver gateways installed across the site, powered, and moved as the works progress.
  • Each W300G carries its own 4G Cat.1 module and embedded SIM and connects to the cloud over the mobile network, so it reports wherever there is 4G signal — a good fit for open, spread-out or frequently changing sites and for maintenance crews moving between locations.
  • The watch measures heart rate and SpO₂ with a high-accuracy Goodix optical sensor, body temperature with a temperature module (±0.2 °C), and position by GPS/BeiDou assisted by Wi-Fi and cell towers.

Solution Design

- A long press sends an SOS; fall detection has five sensitivity levels and a 0.5–2.5 m trigger height that can be set remotely from the platform; wear detection raises an alert when the watch is taken off and drops into low-power standby.

- The W300G is the speaker-equipped model of the W300 family — with vibration and a 1.3" colour touch screen, prompts and platform messages reach the wrist.

- The watches connect directly to the New Forward SSSS smart site-safety platform: a live map shows every worker's position, battery, online status and whether the watch is worn; heart-rate, SpO₂ and temperature thresholds can be set per worker group, with history and trends kept; SOS, fall and removal alerts go out on the web platform, by Web Push and by email, and an unhandled SOS is escalated automatically.

- Supervisors can also draw polygon geofences, play back tracks with CSV export, and send a message or setting to up to 200 watches at once.

Core Benefits

- The body is IP67 water- and dust-sealed; the 580 mAh battery typically lasts 5–7 days at 10-minute reporting and recharges magnetically in about two hours, with optional 16- or 32-watch carry cases.

- Where there is no 4G signal, readings are stored on the watch and sent once coverage returns; for spaces with no mobile coverage at all (deep basements, shafts), New Forward can supply a Bluetooth gateway system instead.

- New Forward handles the survey, platform set-up, watch binding, on-site training and maintenance — start with a few watches and scale up when ready.

Key features

Heart rate, SpO₂ & body temperature

A high-accuracy Goodix optical sensor measures heart rate and SpO₂, with a ±0.2 °C temperature module; thresholds can be set per worker group and alert the moment readings are abnormal.

One-press SOS

A long press sends an SOS and another long press cancels it; the platform alerts at once and escalates an unhandled SOS automatically.

Remotely tuned fall detection

Five sensitivity levels and a 0.5–2.5 m trigger height, pushed from the platform and adjusted to the trade and environment to cut false alarms.

4G direct, no gateway

A built-in 4G Cat.1 module and embedded SIM report straight over the mobile network — no receiver gateways to install, power or relocate.

Built-in speaker & vibration

The W300G is the speaker-equipped W300 model; audible prompts, vibration and a 1.3" colour touch screen bring alerts and messages to the wrist.

Messages & spoken read-out

Supervisors message one worker or a whole group; the watch vibrates and reads the message out on its speaker. One command reaches up to 200 watches.

Location, geofences & tracks

GPS/BeiDou with Wi-Fi and cell assistance; polygon geofences raise entry and exit alerts, with track playback and CSV export.

Wear detection

An alert is raised the moment a watch is taken off, so no one works unprotected; off the wrist it drops into low-power standby.

IP67 industrial build

A water- and dust-sealed body with a protected touch screen, −10 °C to +60 °C; the 580 mAh battery typically lasts 5–7 days at 10-minute reporting.

Recharge kit & accessories

A magnetic USB charging cable as standard; optional 16- or 32-watch carry cases, a smart charging locker, and anti-removal or RFID-tag straps.

FAQ

How does the W300G differ from a Bluetooth band with a receiver gateway?
Each W300G connects over 4G on its own, so nothing is installed on site — it reports wherever there is mobile signal and shows its satellite / Wi-Fi position on the map. A Bluetooth system needs gateways installed and powered for each coverage zone and only knows the nearest gateway or zone, but it suits spaces with no mobile coverage at all. The two can be chosen or mixed to suit the site.
Does every watch need a SIM?
Yes. The W300G has an embedded chip SIM with a data plan arranged per region; New Forward can arrange it in Hong Kong.
What happens without 4G signal?
The watch stores its readings and sends them once coverage returns, so alerts in the meantime are delayed. Where a work area has no mobile coverage at all (deep basements, shafts), we recommend a signal check first or a gateway-based system instead.
Can the W300G make calls? What is the speaker for?
The built-in speaker plays audible prompts and reads out messages sent from the platform, together with vibration and the on-screen text; two-way calling is not part of the product specification. Voice read-out depends on firmware and language settings.
How long does the battery last, and how is it charged?
The 580 mAh battery typically lasts 5–7 days at 10-minute reporting and over 10 days in standby; more frequent reporting shortens it. It charges magnetically over USB in about two hours, and optional carry cases charge many watches at once.
Can the health readings be used medically?
No. Heart-rate, SpO₂ and temperature readings support site-safety monitoring and early warning; they are not medical measurements or diagnoses.
Can we start with a trial?
Yes. Start with a few watches — New Forward sets up the platform, binds the watches and trains your team on site, and you scale up once you are satisfied.
Does it meet 4S requirements?
The solution can support the DEVB 4S element "smart monitoring devices for workers and frontline site personnel"; whether it meets a particular contract or the 4S Labelling Scheme depends on the contract terms and review by the relevant authorities.
