- The 4 MP main camera has a 110° wide-angle lens and records up to 2560×1440 (2K) at 30 fps, alongside an 8 MP autofocus secondary camera (13 MP / 20 MP optional) and a 2 MP rear camera, with photos up to 64 MP; hardware dual-stream H.264/H.265 encoding, where H.265 saves nearly half the storage of H.264.
- Four IR LEDs give night vision to recognise faces at about 3 m and detect people at about 10 m in the dark, on a 3.1" 480×800 IPS touchscreen.
- The 96.7×58.3×23.3 mm body weighs 177 g (200 g with clip), is IP68 sealed, drop-tested to 2 m and operates from −30 °C to +55 °C, with physical keys for power, photo, video, audio recording, SOS, PTT and a custom function, plus red/blue warning lights.
- Integrity is what gives footage its evidential value: recordings are AES-256 encrypted and can only be played back with the dedicated player, so copied files reveal nothing, and the device is designed to the GA/T 947-2015 law-enforcement recorder standard.
- Scan-code and work-order linking tie every clip to a case or job; recordings upload to the server manually or automatically with resumable transfer, so a dropped connection never means starting over.
- On-device plus central-platform storage forms a complete chain of custody.

How is NF-BWC5G different from your site body-worn camera (BWVC)?
They are positioned differently. The site version (BWVC, Dahua MPT230 + EEC400-D station) targets construction works, resident site staff and government works-contract specs, centred on local on-site archiving. NF-BWC5G is a law-enforcement/security-grade smart body-worn camera focused on live 4G audio/video dispatch and group intercom, GPS + BeiDou positioning, AES-256 encrypted evidence and command-platform integration via SDK / GB/T 28181 — suited to law enforcement, security patrol, transport and logistics, and field inspection. The two can be deployed separately or side by side.
Do we have to use 4G and a central platform?
No. NF-BWC5G works standalone: it records and stores footage with AES-256 encryption on the device; at end of shift you offload via the cradle or USB-C, with no platform required. Add a data SIM and management platform only when you need live video, two-way intercom, group dispatch, AI recognition and central management (integration with existing systems via SDK / GB/T 28181), and scale in phases.
How is footage made tamper-proof and usable as evidence?
Recordings are AES-256 encrypted from the moment of capture and can only be played back with the dedicated player, so they cannot be viewed without authorisation; scan-code and work-order linking tie each clip to a case or job, uploads resume after interruptions, and on-device plus central-platform storage forms a traceable chain of custody. The device is designed to the GA/T 947-2015 law-enforcement recorder standard. Bilingual recording notices and access workflows align with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and PCPD guidance.
What about the battery? What are the water/drop ratings?
A 3050 mAh removable lithium-polymer battery is backed by a built-in cell, so the camera stays on during battery swaps; it charges directly or in a cradle, full in about 3 hours at 5V/2A, and spare batteries can be rotated for long shifts. Actual runtime depends on resolution, 4G streaming and intercom use, so we size spares to your shift length. The body is IP68 sealed, 2 m drop-tested and operates from −30 °C to +55 °C.
Does it have face or licence-plate recognition?
Yes. NF-BWC5G supports on-device and cloud AI algorithms such as face and licence-plate recognition; available functions depend on platform configuration and licensing, and use must be assessed against Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and other regulations.
