NF-AVM360 Machinery 360° Around-View & Blind-Spot Monitoring

4-camera 360° around-view · AI blind-spot person detection · audible-visual & voice alarm · full recording

NF-AVM360 gives excavators, loaders, cranes, rollers and other heavy machinery 360° around-view plus AI blind-spot person detection: four waterproof IR cameras ring the machine so the operator sees every blind spot on one screen, while the AI instantly detects people entering the danger zone and triggers an audible-visual alarm and an AI voice announcement — "You have entered the danger zone, please leave immediately" — warning operator and worker at once, with full 1080P recording for evidence, helping prevent run-over and collision accidents.

Overview

NF-AVM360 Machinery 360° Around-View & Blind-Spot Monitoring

Challenges

  • Machinery blind spots are a major site hazard: when an excavator slews, a crane swings or a loader or dump truck reverses, there are sightline dead zones front, back, left and right — and a worker stepping close can easily be run over or struck.
  • Conventional reversing mirrors and single cameras only show one direction and cannot cover the full 360° blind spot, while Hong Kong site-safety management and insurance requirements keep rising, making active machine-perimeter protection the trend.
  • NF-AVM360 comprises the NF-AVM360 host (4-channel AI MDVR) with four blind-spot/around-view cameras, a 7-inch monitor and an audible-visual AI voice alarm.

Solution Design

- Four 1080P metal, waterproof IR cameras are mounted front, back, left and right; their feeds go to the host and the operator sees a 360° split-view on the 7-inch screen, making blind spots obvious at a glance.

- The host uses H.265 hardware compression with a built-in ADAS + 4-channel BSD blind-spot algorithm, runs on 8–36V wide voltage straight off the machine's power, outputs AV / aviation / VGA and supports reverse-priority automatic view switching.

- The core is active detection: the BSD algorithm analyses the around-view feeds in real time, and the moment a person or obstacle enters the danger zone around the machine it triggers an audible-visual alarm and an AI voice announcement — "You have entered the danger zone, please leave immediately" — prompting the operator to stop and warning the worker, preventing accidents from both sides.

- The IR cameras keep detecting at night and in tunnels or basements; everything is recorded in 1080P, with support for one SD card up to 512 GB plus a hard disk up to 4 TB and multi-level anti-vibration storage, so footage can be retrieved to reconstruct any incident.

Core Benefits

- The solution fits excavators, loaders, cranes, rollers, dump trucks and heavy vehicles of all kinds — flexible to install and ready to use; an optional 4G module and GPS stream live video and location back to a control centre for fleet-wide management and trajectory playback, and it can be deployed alongside the Smart Site Safety System (SSSS).

- From camera placement and host installation to calibration, operator training and maintenance, New Forward handles it end to end, helping contractors implement machine-perimeter safety and cut injury risk.

Key features

4-camera 360° around-view · no blind spots

Four 1080P metal, waterproof IR cameras ring the machine front/back/left/right; their feeds show as a split-view on the 7-inch screen, so the operator sees the full 360° blind spot at a glance when slewing, reversing or swinging.

AI blind-spot person detection

The host's built-in ADAS + 4-channel BSD algorithm analyses the around-view feeds in real time, automatically locking onto people or obstacles entering the danger zone, with graded warnings — without the operator having to stare at the screen.

Audible-visual + AI voice alarm

On detection it fires an audible-visual alarm and an AI voice announcement — "You have entered the danger zone, please leave immediately" — prompting the operator to stop and warning the worker, actively preventing run-overs and collisions.

Full 1080P recording for evidence

H.265 compression with support for one SD card up to 512 GB plus a hard disk up to 4 TB and multi-level anti-vibration storage; work, patrols and incidents are fully recorded, so footage can be reviewed to reconstruct events and clarify responsibility.

IR night vision · site-grade durability

IR cameras keep detecting at night and in tunnels or basements; metal waterproof bodies, −20 °C to +85 °C operation and 8–36V wide voltage straight off the machine suit dusty, high-vibration machinery environments.

4G remote + GPS fleet management (optional)

An optional 4G module and GPS stream live video and location to a control centre for fleet-wide management and trajectory playback, and can be deployed alongside the Smart Site Safety System (SSSS).

FAQ

How is this different from an ordinary reversing camera or mirror?
An ordinary reversing camera only passively shows one direction, leaving blind spots and intrusions to the operator's own vigilance. NF-AVM360 is a 4-camera 360° around-view plus an AI blind-spot algorithm that actively detects — when someone enters the danger zone it raises an audible-visual and voice alarm automatically, so the operator need not watch the screen constantly. It is active collision prevention, not just "seeing".
Is the AI detection accurate? Will it false-alarm constantly?
The BSD algorithm targets people and obstacles; sensitivity and detection range can be calibrated to the machine type, task and on-site environment, with graded warnings to reduce nuisance, and the IR cameras handle night and low light. Real-world accuracy depends on mounting angle, lens cleanliness and environment, so on-site calibration is recommended during deployment, keeping human safety management (e.g. a signaller, exclusion zones) as a second layer.
What machinery can it fit, and how is it powered?
It fits excavators, loaders, cranes, rollers, dump trucks and heavy vehicles of all kinds. The four cameras are placed front/back/left/right, and the host runs on 8–36V wide voltage straight off the machine's power — ready to use. Cameras connect to the host via aviation extension cables, with lengths configured to the machine.
Do we have to connect 4G or a platform to use it?
No. NF-AVM360 works standalone on the machine: 360° around-view display, AI blind-spot detection, audible-visual/voice alarm and local 1080P recording all happen on-board, with no network needed. Add the optional 4G module and platform only when you need live streaming, GPS positioning and multi-machine fleet management, in phases by scale.
Does it help meet site-safety requirements?
The solution provides active machine-perimeter collision prevention, intrusion alarms and full video evidence; combined with machinery operation safety management (signalling, exclusion zones, training) it can significantly cut run-over and collision risk, and can be unified with the Smart Site Safety System (SSSS). Whether it satisfies a particular works contract or Registered Safety Officer (RSO) requirement should be confirmed item by item against the project safety plan — we can help with equipment specs and a camera-placement plan.
