Smart Site Safety Platform (SSSS)

People · plant · environment on one platform — digital permit-to-work, live alerts, AI cameras, gas monitoring, territory-wide 3D positioning

Unify people, plant and environment across your construction sites: digital permit-to-work (PTW), a live alert centre, AI cameras, confined-space and toxic-gas monitoring, IoT wearables, territory-wide 3D positioning and patrol/attendance — deployed on real Hong Kong contractor sites.

Overview

Smart Site Safety Platform (SSSS)

Challenges

  • People — SSSS protects every worker on site.
  • Smartwatches catch SOS calls, falls and abnormal heart-rate or temperature, AI cameras verify that helmets, vests and masks are worn in the zones that matter, and digital permit-to-work (PTW) issues template-driven electronic permits with multi-step approval, on-screen signatures and a printable PDF for site posting — so high-risk work is authorised, countersigned and on the record.
  • Plant — keep workers clear of moving machinery.

Solution Design

- Proximity warning alerts crews approaching operating plant over a per-site secured channel, and the rule engine with smart-plugs can trigger automatic controls such as cutting power, stopping struck-by risk before an incident occurs.

- Environment — watch the air your team breathes around the clock.

- A real-time multi-gas dashboard tracks O2, CO, H2S, explosive gases, temperature/humidity, airflow and water with two-level warning and danger thresholds and historical time-series, so confined-space and high-risk zones are visible and pushed the moment something is off.

- A territory-wide 3D map with indoor floor-plans and BLE positioning shows who and what is on site, alongside patrol/attendance and self-serve reports.

Core Benefits

- In development: AI auto-import for permits, camera-based image-AI triggers for mobile-plant warning, and HHDlink e-lock integration (data feed live, integration in progress).

- For non-site projects, consider the general-purpose AI Safety Monitoring System (all venues).

Key features

Digital Permit-to-Work (PTW)

Template-driven electronic permits with multi-step approval, on-screen digital signatures, authorisation-group countersign and a printable PDF for site posting — a full audit trail, including a built-in confined-space template.

Live Alert Centre

Every safety event the moment it happens — blinking rows, an audible alarm and a push to phones within seconds — with acknowledge/remark workflow, per-site alarm sounds and drill simulation.

AI Cameras

Dahua IP cameras turned into PPE checkpoints with helmet/vest/mask detection in defined zones, a live web player, a multi-camera monitoring wall and per-camera location history.

Site-wide 3D Map & Positioning

A territory-wide 3D map (building extrusion, 2D fallback) with indoor floor-plan markers and BLE positioning shows who and what is on site right now, improving dispatch and response.

Confined-Space & Toxic-Gas Monitoring

A real-time multi-gas dashboard (O2 / CO / H2S / explosive / temperature / humidity / water / airflow) with historical time-series and configurable warning and danger thresholds for regulated confined-space work.

IoT Wearables

Heart-rate smartwatches report heart-rate, temperature, falls, inactivity, SOS and low battery over MQTT, with bulk CSV provisioning — a safety lifeline for lone workers.

Patrol & Attendance

Guard tours, routes and tasks at a glance with BLE-beacon check-in and mobile photo sign-in/out, flagging skipped (too fast) or late (too slow) points for auditable attendance and patrol evidence.

FAQ

Does SSSS suit Hong Kong site-safety requirements?
Yes. Built around people, plant and environment, it targets the digitisation and traceability needs of regulated confined-space, working-at-height, hot-work and lone-work activities, with modules and approval chains configurable to project scale and company policy; actual compliance terms remain for the client and consultant to confirm against the contract and regulations.
What hardware does SSSS use — are we locked to one vendor?
SSSS is hardware-neutral — a management and oversight layer on top of your existing kit. It already integrates Dahua cameras, BLE/WiFi sensors, heart-rate smartwatches, gas and environmental sensors, TP-Link smart-plugs, HHDlink e-locks and IR air-con control. Sensors, cameras, wearables and gateways feed data up; the platform unifies the view and the response — no single-vendor lock-in.
Can it connect to our existing CCTV and access control?
Usually yes. We assess the site first, confirm the protocols and interfaces of your existing equipment, and propose a phased integration plan.
How long does deployment take?
It depends on site area and module scope; we typically go live in priority zones first, then extend to the whole site in phases to minimise disruption.
