DSD (construction site safety ELV)

New Forward Technology designed and delivered a complete ELV solution for the Drainage Services Department (DSD), targeting the high-risk environment of underground drainage and confined-space work by integrating surveillance, access control, intercom, and IoT subsystems on a single platform. The SSSS smart site-safety platform provides hazard-zone control, digital work permits, and real-time alerts; AI helmet detection and high-visibility vest recognition keep workers PPE-compliant; and smart helmets and smart wristbands monitor heart rate and body temperature inside confined spaces in real time.

To solve the cabling and power challenges of underground and outdoor environments, New Forward backhauls sensor data over a BLN wireless IoT platform, cutting the cost of underground cabling, and provides custom solar power and 4G connectivity for outdoor monitoring points with no mains supply. Every subsystem is centrally managed, with events that are traceable and auditable, comprehensively safeguarding the personal safety of workers in underground and confined spaces.
