Hutchison Logistics Centre

和黃物流中心(Hutchison Logistics)

Core recording and storage infrastructure refresh, with outdoor point-to-point wireless AP coverage for heavy machinery areas on the wharf.

Case overview

Hutchison Logistics Centre

New Forward Technology refreshed the core recording and storage infrastructure at Hutchison Logistics Centre, pairing a DSS7016 central management platform with EVS5036 storage to improve recording reliability and centralised monitoring across a large logistics site. For the wharf's heavy-machinery operating zones, where cabling is difficult to run, we established stable video-backhaul links using multiple outdoor point-to-point wireless AP pairs, covering expansive open-air working areas while avoiding the cost and degradation of long cable runs.

Project highlights

  • Core platform upgrade: DSS7016 + EVS5036
  • Wharf heavy-machinery zone: multiple outdoor wireless AP links

FAQ

Can a large logistics centre upgrade its core surveillance platform in phases?
Yes. New Forward first audits the existing equipment and cabling, then plans a phased upgrade built around a DSS central management platform and EVS storage, retaining serviceable cabling and camera positions wherever possible.
How do you cover areas that are hard to cable, such as wharves and open-air yards?
Outdoor point-to-point wireless AP links can establish video-backhaul channels covering heavy-machinery zones and open-air working areas, reducing both the installation cost and the long-term degradation associated with long cable runs.
